Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Olusina’s career spans grassroots development work in conflict-affected parts of Northern Nigeria, engineering consulting in the UK and a transiton to the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C, where she worked at the intersection of climate policy and international development. She now spearheads climate finance at the Green Climate Fund in South Korea.  

Across four continents, Tolu has built a career grounded in excellence, integrity, and professionalism, contributing to high-level decision-making spaces that shape climate and development outcomes globally.

Academic Excellence:

A Strong Foundation of a Remarkable Career

A high-performing scholar from the very beginning, Tolu graduated from the University of Lagos in 2016 with a first class degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She went on to earn a fully-funded Nigerian government scholarship to pursue graduate studies at Imperial College London, where she completed a dual master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Business Management at the global top‑ten institution in 2020.

Tolu credits her engineering background as one of her core strengths, equipping her with analytical precision, systems thinking, and the ability to break down complex challenges into practical, high‑impact solutions that drive results in today’s dynamic global environment.

Leadership as Service

Recognized for her leadership and track record of excellence, Tolu has been invited to speak and serve on panels at global platforms including the World Bank Youth Summit, UN 2030 Coalition, Generation Climate Europe, and SustyVibes, among others. 

She continues to collaborate with global organizations, governments, and businesses, driven by a commitment to developing future-ready professionals and contributing to solutions that advance climate action and sustainable development worldwide.

Building on her global career experience and exposure to high-level decision making spaces, Tolu founded CareerCulture HQ – a platform dedicated to helping professionals reimagine ambition, build high-value skills, and access global career opportunities.Through CareerCulture HQ, she has led more than 30 high-impact initiatives, empowering 1,200+ professionals across the world.
